Green Initiatives Committee Comes to BAA

May 20, 2009

BAA Board of Directors unanimously approved the formation of a new "Green Initiatives" Committee at its meeting on May 19, 2009. Arthur Kulick, from member company ASI World Financial Group, requested that the Board explore the possibility of making Miami - specifically the Brickell areas - a leading environmentally-friendly business hub in which to work and live.

Mr. Kulick volunteered to chair the new committee, leading it to investigate solar energy as an alternative energy source, helping compile website resources for green-clean service providers, investigating initiatives such as bicycle rentals like a number of international cities and helping create new and refreshing ways to tackle some of the huge environmental challenges facing the area and the world.

Mr. Kulick will be joined on the new committee by Board members Marc Pearl (Holly Real Estate) and Bill Ross (B Squared LC). All members of the community who are interested in "green" issues are invited to appy for committee membership. You do not need to be a Brickell Area Association member to participate.
